Recruitment 2015 notice by Assam Public Service Commission for the post of Assistant Professor in Assam. Good academic record with at least 55% marks at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University and the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET..                                                                                 

Number of posts announced are 17. The prescribed age limit should be minimum 21 years and maximum 38 Years as on 01.01.2015. Relaxation in upper age limit up to 5 years for candidates belonging to SC and ST is applicable. The salary will be Rs.  15,600/- to Rs. 39,100/- Grade Pay of Rs. 6,600/- with other allowances as admissible.. Selection will be based on Written Examination OR Interview..
