Recruitment 2015 notice from Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), Shimla to fill-up the vacancies for the post of Professional Assistant, Machine Operator and Lower Division Clerk (LDC). Qualification specified for professional Assistant is M.A./M.Sc/M.Com and B. Lib. Science (OR) BA./BSc/BCom and B.Lib. Science with 4 years' experience in the Library Science, for Machine Operators, Matriculation with two years' experience and for Lower Division Clerk, Matriculation or equivalent qualification from a recognized board/University, should have a minimum typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English.

Post 1- Professional Assistant

Salary: Rs.9300-34,800 + Rs.4200

Qualification:
(a) M.A./M.Sc/M.Com and B. Lib. Science (OR)
(b) B.A./B.Sc/B.com and B. Lib. Science with 4 years' experience in the Library as whole.

Post 2: Machine Operator

Salary: Rs.5200-20200 + Rs.2400

Qualification:

Matriculation with two years' experience of handling electronic plain paper copier, Electronic Stencil, Cutter, Micro-film, Micro fishe reader.

Post 3- Lower Division Clerk

Salary: Rs.5200-20200 + 1900 


Qualification:

Matriculation or equivalent qualification from a recognised board/University, should have a minimum typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English. (However, the candidate who has also the knowledge of Hindi typing will get weightage in the interview provided he/she qualifies the typing test @30 w.p.m. in Hindi and 35 w.p.m. in English).

Age Limit: Between 18 to 28 Years (as on 01.01.2015)

Application Fee: 

Bank Draft/Demand Draft of Rs.500/- for General Category candidates and Rs.300/- for candidate belonging to reserved categories drawn on any nationalized bank payable at Shimla in favour of The Secretary, IIAS, Shimla. Female candidates are exempted from the application fee as per Govt. of India rules.
