PSU Jobs 2015.  Vacancy for General Workman-B in Kochi Refinery for First Class Diploma in Engineering in Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrument Technology (Full time course) with 60% marks. Only Indian Nationals can apply. Number of post announced is 71 out of which for Chemical trade 34 posts, for Mechanical trade 21 posts, for Electrical trade 08 posts and for Instrumentation trade 08 posts. Age limit should not exceed 30 years as on 01 February 2015. Pay band will be Rs. 12500 – 22000/- PM. Selection will be based on written test and interview. Qualification & Experience:

1. First Class Diploma in Engineering in Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrument Technology (Full time course) with 60% marks.
2. Final Year Diploma students and those awaiting results are not eligible to apply] Desirable: One year post qualification experience in a Refining / Petroleum / Power / Chemical / Lube / Petrochemical / Fertilizer Industry OR One year apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act in a Refining / Petroleum / Power / Chemical / Lube / Petrochemical / Fertilizer Industry.

Medical Standards: 

Candidates provisionally selected by BPCL will have to undergo a pre-employment medical examination before joining. The health of each candidate will be assessed by the Corporation's Authorized Medical Officers / nominated hospitals and the appointment will be subject to meeting the medical standards prescribed by the Corporation.
(a) Myopia & Hypermetropia (vision), if any, should be within permissible limits.
(b) Colour blindness or squint, partial or full, is not acceptable in any case.
(c) Night blindness and Glaucoma is also not acceptable.
(d) Noise induced hearing loss and bilateral hearing loss shall be considered a disqualification.
(e) Any other major medical ailment will debar a candidate from being eligible for the job.
