Govt Job Opportunity 2015 in Chandigarh for the post of Assistant Professor at Punjab University

Applications invited by Punjab University for the post of Assistant Professor in Chandigarh, Punjab. Interested candidates should have a Good academic record as defined by the University with atleast 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever grading system is followed at the master’s degree level in the concerned subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.  Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate should have either cleared the National Eligibility test (NET) conducted by UGC, CSIR or should have obtained Ph.D degree in the relevant subject. 

The vacancy is for 14 positions. Stipend of Rs. 1000/- per lecture upto a maximum amount of Rs. 25,000/- per month. Eligible applicants may report to the interview on 27th February 2015 at 9:00 AM in the location given below.

Note: NET shall not be required for such disciplines for which NET is not conducted.

The Walk-in-Interview for appointing Guest Faculty to teach undergraduate students of BA/B.Com/BCA/PGDCA for the session 2014-15 will be held on 27th February 2015 at 9.00 in the office of the below address. Candidates must bring with them a duly filled application, attested copies of mark sheets/certificates, Teaching/research experience (attach details) in the form of publications etc. along with a recent passport size photograph.

General Instructions:

An applicant who is a research fellow, shall have to give an undertaking on his appointment that he/she will not draw any fellowship/stipend, or any other financial assistance from any government agency for the tenure he/she works as a guest faculty, or he/she shall not claim guest lecture payment for the period he/she draws fellowship/stipend/financial assistance from a government agency.
