Qualification & Experience:
(i) MBBS degree recognized by MCI.
(ii) Eight years R&D/teaching experience in Medicine/Surgery/P&SM, Pathology/ Radiotherapy/Biochemistry/ Pharmacology / related medical subjects in recognized institutes after obtaining essential qualification (i) above, out of which at least 2 years experience in a managerial position to handle R & D projects in a team effectively in a directing capacity.

Requirements:
To develop, programmes for research and training, plan and undertake tasks as per the centre’s profile indicated above. The Scientist will have the complete and overall responsibility in not only developing and sustaining the disease data bases but also in translating such data bases into valid medical and scientific information that is of relevance. Planning projects and research protocols in epidemiological tools and patterns of patient care in Cancer, CVD, Diabetes and Stroke. The candidate is also expected to have good knowledge on applications of epidemiological tools and patterns of patient care in Cancer, CVD, Diabetes and Stroke.

Not exceeding 45 years. Relaxable up to 5 years for Government servants and SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training from time to time in this regard. However, the prescribed age may be relaxed in exceptional cases for experienced and qualified candidates.
