QUALIFICATIONS:
a. Director of Education:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in any area of Agriculture/related science from a recognized University
2. A Master’s degree in any area of Agriculture with at least 55% of marks (annual system) and or CGPA of 3 out of 4 (Trimester system) and/or OGPA of 8 out of 10 (semester system).
3. A Doctoral degree in any area of Agricultural discipline
4. A total experience of 20 years of Teaching / Research / Extension / Administration in
Universities/ Colleges and other Institutions of higher education, out of which 10 years shall be in Professor’s cadre and minimum of 3 years experience as Director of Education / Dean of a College / Director / DR / DE / Registrar of an Agricultural University / National level Institute.
b. Dean(Post-Graduate Studies), Registrar, Director of Research, Director of Extension, Dean(Agri), College of Agriculture, Dharwad / Bijapur / Hanumanamatti & Dean(Forestry), College of Forestry, Sirsi :
1. A Bachelor’s degree in any area of Agricultural Sciences from a recognized University
2. A Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences with at least 55% of marks (annual system) or CGPA of 3 out of 4 or OGPA 8 out of 10.

4. A total experience of 18 years of Teaching/Research/Extension/Administration in Agricultural University or other Institute of higher education, out of which at least 8 years shall be in the cadre of Professor.
Note for (b)&(c) :
The appointees for the posts of Deans of Colleges have to necessarily reside in the designated UAS Quarters during their tenure. This condition is subject to the approval of the Bo
ard of Management, UAS, Dharwad.
d. Dean of Students Welfare:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in any area of Agricultural Sciences from a recognized University.
2. A Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences with at least 55% of marks (annual system) or CGPA of 3 out of 4 or OGPA 8 out of 10.
3. A Doctoral degree in Agricultural Sciences.
4. A total experience of 18 years of teaching/ research/ extension/ administration in Universities/Colleges and other Institutions of higher education, out of which at least 2 years shall be in the cadre of Professor.
Note:
Under Sl.No.1, 2 and 3, the area of specialization in the degree is not applicable
to UAS employees.
e. University Librarian:
1. Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC 7 points scale & consistently good academic record.
2. At least 13 years as Deputy Librarian in a University Library or 18 years experience as a University/National Institutes/College Librarian of which at least 3 years shall be as Deputy Librarian OR M.Phil/Ph.D Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation/Archives & Manuscript keeping with 10 years experience as a University/National Institutes/College Librarian of which at least 3 years shall be as Deputy Librarian.
4. A total experience of 18 years of Teaching / Research / Extension / Administration in Universities / Colleges and other Institutions of higher education, out of which at least 8 years shall be in the cadre of Professor.

Application Procedure:
The applicants have to enclose the processing fee in the form of Indian Postal Order / Demand Draft / Bankers Cheque for Rs.3000 (in case of SC/ST Rs.1500 only) payable to Comptroller, UAS, Dharwad drawn within the period from 8.5.2014 to 7.6.2014 while submitting the filled in application pro-forma.
