The Institute for
Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine (InStem). Bangalore is an autonomous institute or the
Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology.
Government of India. InStem's mandate is to promote research and
training in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. InStem aims to
foster interaction amongst basic scientists, engineers and clinicians in
ways that spur collaborative research to address fundamental questions
in stem cell biology and attempt to breach scientific, technological and
translational barriers to progress in Cell therapy and regenerative

Post: Director on deputation (including short term contract).
Pay Scale: Rs. 80,000/- {Fixed) per month and usual allowances as per Government of India rules.
Age: Below 55 years, but for exceptional candidates the age limit can be relaxed by the Selection Committee.

Qualification:
The candidate
should have a Ph.D. or equivalent qualification in any area of life
science or an M.D or equivalent qualification. A minimum of 15 years of
independent research experience and an excellent track record as
evidenced by publications, patents, and peer-recognition is expected.
Experience in successfully managing scientific programmes/ centres
/institutions will be of value, and younger candidates are expected to
demonstrate potential in the above mentioned areas.
