Recruitment of Pilots in Marine Department of Paradip Port Trust on contract basis

Paradip Port is one of the Major Ports of India serving the Eastern and Central parts of the country. Its hinterland extends to the States of Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. The Port mainly deals with bulk cargo apart from other clean cargoes. There is unprecedented growth in the traffic handled at this Port in the last decade. The Port has got ambitious expansion programme to enhance its capacity up to 260.50 MMTPA by 2023 to meet the ever increasing demand.

 

Marine Department of Paradip Port Trust  intends to engage 02 Nos. Pilots on contract basis.

Walk-in Interview:  29.05.2014 at 1600 hours

Post: Pilots (on contract basis)

 

Period of Contract: 03(three) years and extendable at the discretion of the Port Trust.

Age Limit: Not more than 50 years as on 01.04.2014. Engagement shall be subject to passing Medical Fitness Test as per Port Rules.  

 

Pay package:  Monthly consolidated remuneration of Rs.75,000/- with 3% Annual Increment on completion of one year continuous service. All Pilotage related allowances will be paid at par with regular Pilots.

 

Qualification & Experience:
Must hold a certificate of competency as Master of Foreign Going Ship issued by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. One year post qualification experience as Master/ Chief Officer of a foreign going ship. Preference may be given to the person having master experience.

Training: 

The selected candidates will have to undergo training for at-least six months and pass the required tests as prescribed in the PPT Regulations.
